Yummo!

Dave was supposed to have it so Lily showed up as the common name on all. So, it should not show as trumpet lily? I guess we have some straightening out to do.

An especially tasty batch, IMHO. The edges keep disappearing... hope it lasts long enough to make it through my function tomorrow. Whistling

'Lily' does show up for all of them, but you can also up-tick other names ~ which I think I'm guilty of since we don't have divisions yet.

I sure appreciate all the people who are guardians over the bad spellers. I am guiltu there as well as not knowing Genus from species. Ihave lots of different lilies and just want to be sure the Lily files have everything I have plus images. Being informed about entries accepted is a big help. I can go back and load photos of each one.
I also deleted a duplicate of Elise.

My next mission is to find a full length image of an allium that I believe has been listed incorrectly. Its a new one and I just put the bulbs in the ground yesterday. I will wait until spring to get a photo of it and list it as a common allium not a Drumstick as it is now listed on both garden websites. I am just convinced its wrong.

These files were soooo important to me when I was building the gardens here. I came across so many plants that were not correct as to details.
I just want to make sure what I put in are right. I also appreciate any corrections.I am an amature in these matters.

That's a great attitude, Jo Ann. That's the good thing about being human ~ the capacity to learn ~ no matter how much one might already know.

Personally, my brain is so full I have to store my new brains in my thighs. ;)

As long as you don't uptick them to above lily, Moby. When I first looked at it the listings were all over the place. I want it to look like roses and daylilies. We'll get the divisions in there pretty soon.

I see a page and a half of species, they are listed toward the end, after the alphabetical listings.

I do like all the species (and species cultivars) altogether, rather than spread around with the hybrids in strict alphabetical order.

Of course it would be my preference that they be in the beginning, but I am also sure I would be outvoted by a landslide on that Smiling . All at the end is good.

I think it is a very good idea that cultivar selections within a species (therefore not actually hybrids) are included in both the general listing and the species listing. A regular person cannot be expected to know the difference.

This is what I do to find the species: enter the search by genus and then click on the last page and click your way back until you get to the end of the alphabet listing where the species start.
I do think there will be some more tweaking by Dave to make things easier to find.

All I had to do (after doing click back, tearing my hair out etc etc.) was simply enter the word gloriosoides in the search and bam there it was. I believe you can do this from any page in ATP. But most of the time you probably should enter the genus too. That is what I found out last night when entering my Japanese irises. I entered ensata then cultivar name and that worked well. If it wasn't there I had to put the name in then.

Anthony, just type in gloriosoides in the ATP search box and click on Lily (Lilium speciosum var. gloriosoides). When that page comes up there is a place near the bottom to click for your picture upload. It will go through the moderators and I will be happy to approve it.

I'll make it easy for you:

Showy Lily (Lilium speciosum var. gloriosoides)

Click on upload a photo; then on upload an image.

Of course, that's the best way Connie! Big Grin Thumbs up And yes it does work from any of the search boxes and if it shares a name with any other plant, they all would pop up.

Sue, I think those numbers in the DB refer to the number of dots on a Lily.
