Want an akebia vine to break that wind? I have some.
Chris is right, that flower looks like sunshine. Wow, none of that here today, but only an occasional threat of rain. So I worked outside all day today. I am one happy person. I can't believe how much I got done. But then I looked around, and can't believe how much I still have to do. That's alright, one step at a time.

Hi Lynn!
Always more to be done, but that's the joy of it, never run out of stuff to do.

I didn't get your plants out today. Sorry, sick boy and didn't get out of the house at all until Dad got home. Supposed to be in mid to high 80's here the next couple of days. Do you think I should hold off sending them?

What ever works for you Chelle. I am not worried about it. Thumbs up Next week would be great if you can do it then. I have been playing catch up so that would probably work really well.

Thanks a pretty vine Lynn. Looks like it gets huge. Don't think I have room for anything that big. I have about 40 clematis that cover all my fences and trellises. In fact, I'm always looking for more places to plant them. Another one of my plant addictions Rolling my eyes.

Chris,
Wow! 40 of them? That's awesome! I can just about count mine on one hand. Well, maybe two. *grin*

Lynn,
The temps are supposed to head back to the normal range this weekend, so I'd feel a lot safer sending them next week. I'd hate to send you roasted Bee Balm. They sure don't like to dry out either.

That is great Chelle. I have really been on a roll so far this week with catching up. Hope it doesn't rain all day today. After going and getting a tetanus shot today I hope to do more weeding and moving of plants. Sent some things home with out Pastor yesterday, tomatoes to some of the neighbors, etc.
Chris I could count on one hand how many clematis I have, and still have four fingers left. : ) I have one clematis and I really love it. Not sure why I never got any more. I do want to find one to grow up through my Hakura Nishiki willow. I have it trained as a tree. It has hardy geraniums and sedum growing under it.

Just a quick update. Lynn, you sure do know your Sedums! My stem cuttings *took* and are ready to be transplanted! I keep forgetting to take the camera out to the GH but when I pot them up, (or plant them out) I'll get shots of them then. The leaf cuttings didn't fare so well. They're toast.
Thank you so much for all your help! I sure do appreciate it! Thumbs up

You are so welcome Chelle, glad they did well for you. It scares some people when they get cuttings of sedum in the mail instead of rooted plants. If they are package correctly they will root quickly. Thumbs up

Now, of course, I want to do more! Hilarious!
The other babies that you sent me are thriving too! Hmmm, maybe I'll start some of those too. They don't have to be very big in the beginning. Did I tell you that I got a Hen and Chicks too? Here they are.

Beautiful Chelle. Does it have a name? I should be able to send you more soon. I will send you a list of what I have available.
I was just looking at the Red Bud tree you sent me, it is growing and is so cute. I just love that tree. Thank you so much for sending it to me.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing You are wonderful Chelle. Group hug There are hundreds of named varieties of hen and chicks (the name hen and chicks is a common name to describe the genus. The one in the right hand info box on this page is a hen and chick called Sempervivum 'Purdy's Big Red'.
Thumbs up

Glad I could make us both grin and laugh out loud today! Sometimes I wonder about me, don't you? Rolling on the floor laughing

I have no idea what the name is - bought it at a big chain store, they're not real good at making sure you know what you bought.
I'll just enjoy it and not worry about the name I think. Whistling

Hey Lynn, I see you're back!

Just have to share this with you. You know that I successfully started some cuttings in the greenhouse with your knowledge, right? Look at this...the hose reel broke off a piece when someone moved it to mow grass, I picked it up after it had laid there who knows how long, and stuck it in one of last year's pots, (bucket). It has rooted! With no care from me whatever. Cool! Hurray!
I never even threw a drink at it! Forgot it was out there. *Blush*

Yes, you did mention that! Big Grin It's just so nice when you do come across that, .....in real life! Oh, it was a happy day when sedum was created! My other clumps are HUGE. I'm a lucky girl!

BTW - I've also got 5 other new plants from the ones started in the humidity of the GH! Yay! Now that will certainly help to extend the beauty of my gardens for the rest of the year!

Thanks again, my friend! Smiling
