One of my new Hibiscus got it's first bloom. The plant was not what I ordered but I actually like this one better.
I sent photos to the seller and they ID'ed it as 'Siren Song'.

I lived in central/coastal Florida for 30 years and am now a "snowbird". I'm used to the hibiscus we have in Florida, but am amazed by the hibiscus they have here in New Jersey! Didn't even know they grew this far north. The ones I have are HUGE and beautiful in their own right, just different from mine in Florida. BTW, anyone know what kind these are?

@clintbown, I have tried and tied, I think I told you to get a pic of the true color and can't do it, Sighing!
I think you told me you take yours or have, with you 6s plus. I have tried that at other cameras. Late in the day, early morning, jealous nodding

I'm excited about a recent trade. I traded cuttings of Haight Ashbury for cuttings of Turks cap. It's not even 2 weeks yet and the Turks cap has taken root!! Hurray! I love those little red blooms!! This is my first year to root hibiscus and I am amazed at how easy they are.

So Pretty, Lovey dubby Clint and Jay.

How are the cuttings doing for you, Jay? I got 4 seedlings of the pink luna swirl; the other seeds that were sown didn't germinate.

The Chinese Lantern from cutting has one single bloom Hurray! Also the cutting of the mystery hibiscus which you help ID, has had couple of blooms.

I lost the pink Hibiscus moscheutos and the H. striatus cuttings, but all the others rooted. I separated and repotted the Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Celia', red 'El Capitolio' and H. calyphyllus today. I hope to do the rest tomorrow.

Bloom from my rescued Luna. It was nothing but sticks and a few brown leaves when I got it in early July

This is my NOID (I lost the tag Grumbling ) Both blooms are in the same pot. I guess Lowe's had two colors in one pot when they sold it.

This doesn't look like any Rose of Sharon bloom that I've seen on the internet but way back when I asked about the seeds and was told that's what they were. This one isn't a year old yet and I noticed it has about a dozen or so more buds on it.

No, you where probably looking at the correct photos. Most Rose of Sharon don't have wide spread petals but they can be variable. Since they are hybrids growing them from seeds will give even more diversity to there appearance.

Here's one I photographed that has wide spread petals. This one even has a twisted kind of swirl look to it.
