Shoe: I surely enjoyed the story of your traveling cup/mug! It's probably seen more of the country than I have, You are a great story teller ... I could picture the Mississippi Riverboat, the full moon over the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the lake in Tennessee, which made me think of my favorite Smoky Mountains! Thumbs up for traveling the back roads ...

Thanks, Lin.
It sounds like we need to get you back on the road again, visiting those mountains you seem so fond of.

Maybe one day there will be a big ATP Acorn Gathering (get-together) and we can all meet up there. Bring your mugs, your smiles and camaraderie, and hang out for a couple days around a campfire somewhere, eh?

Best to you and yours!

Shoe: That sure sounds like a wonderful idea! I remember a few years ago on DG there was talk of a "get together" for all who wanted to attend, but no one could decide on the place. If I ever hear about an Acorn Gathering of ATP'ers ... I'll be on the first plane to wherever it's happening! (I don't drive on the interstate anymore, traffic makes me real nervous.) Big Grin

I went to several DG Roundups, thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. I hope to see something similar with ATP'ers one day.

I bet it happens, too! Hang in there.

I've never been to a Roundup, never seemed to be one near me. Oh, my kind of traveling is preferably the backroads, with someone else doing the driving Smiling - I really, really dislike traveling on interstate highways/freeways! Folks miss sooo much while speeding down the highways, don't they? When my husband and I go to the Smoky Mountains on vacation we always like driving backroads and have found a lot of beauty and interesting sights on those roads!

"When my husband and I go to the Smoky Mountains on vacation we always like driving backroads and have found a lot of beauty and interesting sights on those roads! "

That's exactly why I go those routes. They sure tend to teach you "happiness is the journey, not some end result", so to speak.

Enjoy the travels....
