ooh! I have dibs to spend... for the longest time yesterday the swap tool kept telling me I had 0.5 tickets. LOL

Sally, pretty please I'd love one of your bottlebrush buckeyes. I'll grow it on in the "nursery corner" for a couple of years before planting it out into the wild blue yonder of the treeline. :-)

Rick, I had 5 stars by your 'Diana Remembered' hosta, because the description said it gets enormous fragrant blooms! What a double treat! Thank you for sharing it.

Robinbunch, I'd love your burgundy gaillardia please. I've tried growing it the past couple of years from seed and had various mishaps... It'll be so pretty in the new bed with all the green & purple leafed sedums.

For anybody who may not realize it, if you browse the trade list and give stars to add things to your wish list, you can then go straight to your wish list when you have dibs to spend. Your wish list items will be listed in order of how many stars you have them... just click the treasure box icon to request dibs.

Yeah, about those 'enormous fragrant blooms'... We actually removed them from their home of 7+ years. All they did was sit there. Never got any bigger, never bloomed. Maybe a change of scenery is all they needed. I'll know better next year.

Hmmmm how fragrant...anyone actually experienced the bloom's scent? Confused
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. This was going to be the first year for them. I bought them to replace what we had in the front yard. The ones that were there were all different heights and looked ragged. But, Larry liked the blue color, so I picked up a bunch of Bressinghams. And then we came across the Forbidden Fruit. What was in front came out into pots. The blues are still in their pots and the Forbidden now line the front.

Jill, of course you may have a Burgundy Gaillardia, it will probably have seedheads on it too. I put a dibs on your catnip, figure I'll plant it and maybe some mints in the former fish pond, that would contain them. Might get some of Seq's Blue Mist to throw in there too.

Donna, I put a dibs on your Rose of Sharon, is it the white one with the red eye? Plan to put it between the two purple ones I have that need to be moved.

Thx, Robin! I should have mints to add to my list also, but I have a few things listed now that aren't potted yet, so I want to be sure I can bring what I've listed. btw, I have LOTS of ROS, pink, lavender, or white with red eye... but I don't know the color.

Rick, put those Bressinghams in your woodland garden! Forbidden Fruit does brighten your front border.

Does anybody want red maple saplings? I tend to let seedlings grow until they get in the way, and I spotted several while walking around this afternoon. If they're wanted, I'll have my nephew dig them when he's here in August.

Semps! aka Hens & Chicks!!

ValleyLynn is having a sale, $3 per group of 3-4 offsets. I thought if others were interested, maybe we could share a box (especially if you want to try just a couple). Waiting to see what she thinks in terms of how many we could get in a box... will also see if I'd need to pot them up or if she could ship just before swap.

See The thread "Sempervivum For Sale" in Classifieds and Group Buys forum and click the link in first post to get to her list ( with pics) of what's available.

Anybody?

Thyme cuttings available! I have empty plug trays ready to root cuttings if anyone's interested. Let me know asap so they have time to root before the swap. All my thymes are spreading 6-10" high, not the low growing mounds.
Available varieties:
Silver Thyme 'Argenteus' - traditional culinary thyme but with sage green leaves and silver variegation.
Thumb of 2016-07-22/EvergreenMike/ad52cf
Golden Lemon Thyme - lemon scented.
Thumb of 2016-07-22/EvergreenMike/689ce8
Lavender Thyme - lavender scented. To my nose, smells more like lavender leaves than blossoms, more spicy than sweet.
Thumb of 2016-07-22/EvergreenMike/bbba2c
Rose Petal Thyme Lovey dubby my favorite! - fruity, perfumey, floral scent, much like Rose scented geranium.
Thumb of 2016-07-22/EvergreenMike/d3323b
Orange Balsam Thyme - scent is spicy like traditional thyme, but with added resinous, piney scent, and a hint of orangey citrus.

Can never have too many thymes, but I'm especially Crossing Fingers! for lavender thyme cuttings since that one is new to me! Great use of those plug trays! Thanks! Thymes will often root in water... I used to put ctttings in water then stick when they startedd striking roots. Not sure if that was more successful than just sticking unrooted cuttings, just another method to try. Now I mostly layer (bury or pin down a long stem, sever from mother plant after roots develop, let it grow a little longer before moving). Your new beds should self-layer, or you can help them along.

Yes please, Mike! I'm happy to share a tray, too... I know Chantell will swoon over lavender thyme! Thinking if I put 2 or 3 plugs in a pot for the winter (sheltered place and tip pot so ice or water doesn't accumulate on the top), I'll have a nice clump in spring!

@EvergreenMike - LOL Jill Lovey dubby spoke first for me! I ordered the Lavender, Rose, and one of the Oranges I'll have to check. I believe the orange isn't going to make it though. That being said I don't' know if you and I ordered the same orange. I'll check back tonight when home.

@EvergreenMike, if you have enough I'd like to try the rose petal, orange and lavender thymes please. 2 of each if possible.

@Robinbunch5, I have four agastaches for you that I didn't get to you from the Spring Swap.

@Chantell, I'll bring a Butterfly Bush 'Buzz Purple' and you can decide how 'fragrant' it is!

@Gitagal do you have any Christmas Cactus starts this year?

Oh, and Orange Balsam thyme too, please, if you have enough... I just checked and my new little one is Orange Spice! I had a patch of Orange Balsam several years ago (got too wet one winter I think), really love the different texture of it!
