Up date; received the Greenhouse this morning and opened both boxes for an inspection. First impressions are: 1)the quality looks to be good, 2) the packaging sucks, only 2 individual parts were wrapped, everything else just loose, the only damage I could see was to the lower door panel polycarbonate window, 3) surely the Space Shuttle has fewer parts....he he, 4) the so called assembly manual has lots of nice drawings but absolutely no descriptive wording as to how to assemble each component ( that is nice, at least there is no confusing verbiage ).

When I start to assemble this unit I will take photos and try to give a fair assessment of this product which hopefully will help others in deciding what to purchase.

Not sure when I will actually start to work on it because I have decided to not move any of the plants in the garden area where the GH will be located. As hot and dry as it is now, there is no way any of the plants would survive a move and I just cannot hurt my little plants!

My floor choice will be the liner, pea gravel combination.

Thanks again to everyone for all your helpful and friendly advice. Thank You!

This will be the start of my review of the Palram “Snap and Grow 6-ft x 8-ft Greenhouse”. These two boxes came via FedEx and left under my carport. As you can see one of the boxes had been busted open on one end, but after inspection did not find any pieces missing. The actual packing by the manufacture is absolutely terrible, only two items (shown with blue plastic wrapping) were wrapped. Everything else was simple loose inside the boxes, and the bottom polycarbonate panel in the door had some damage. There was also some “rash” on the aluminum parts from being allowed to move over each other.

After inspecting the parts I am pleased with the quality but reserve final judgment until the unit has been completely assembled. The “assembly manual” is very poor in as much it has a lot of nice drawings of the parts but does not describe the part and no wording on how to assemble. It may go together very easy (Snap and Grow) and therefore no need for written instructions, again I will hold my final judgment.

My plan is to start to work on the treated wood framing for the foundation this weekend and I will post photos when completed.

Thomas, if you haven't done so already (or were planning to), be sure to contact the seller about the damage to the polycarbonate panel (and anything else of significance). A similar thing happened when I got my Rion quite a few years ago -- they were great about quickly replacing the parts that I reported as being damaged and actually sent me quite a few "spare parts."
