I was lucky enough to win last year and it was so nice to receive free plants that have turned out to be treasures in my gardens. Good luck to everyone who enters!

I agree! I won one of those beautiful Black Diamond Crape Myrtle trees. It is doing very well in my yard and is currently in bloom. I love that dark foliage and the red blooms! I can't wait until it is the size of a 10-12' tree. Many thanks again to Plant Me Green : Plant Me Green

Best raffle ever for ME (August 2015)! Big Grin

Me too! Ditto!
My Black Diamond Crepe I won from Plant Me Green is now about 4.5' tall & gorgeous! Here's a photo I took of it on June 29th and it's only gotten more gorgeous since then.

I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

I bought my Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia 'Ebony Flame') from Plant Me Green after seeing it on their website in September 2014. Mine is still containerized but now that we are settled in our "forever" home I want to get it in the ground and I want to get the Ebony and Ivory or one of the white flowering varieties too ... love the beautiful dark foliage on the Black Diamond Crepes!

Beautiful, Ann! I wish we could do crepe myrtles here, but I feel somewhat fulfilled by simply looking at the beautiful pictures you and others post of them. Maybe someday someone will make that cold-hardy crepe myrtle... Whistling Rolling my eyes. Big Grin

The Black Diamond series: http://garden.org/plants/searc... can be grown as container plants and moved indoors in the winter months. Green Grin!

LoL, Lin! That's a consideration for a future home, but not for our current home. Someday I hope to have a greenhouse, but it's not allowed where we currently live (HOA). I am already thinking about the next house, though, and whether I want a shed with an attached greenhouse or if a lean-to against the main house is better...but someday....
