I just got back from the local county fair and it was a pleasant blessing that at the fair, ninety plus percent did not have a phone in front of their face for any reason!

Yes but they seem to realize that you cannot go to a fair by staring at a telephone, not a single youth was staring at one.
I wonder if they had trouble communicating in the spoken language.
If they ever pokey their buttocks on my property, they will not do it twice.

I, myself, am of the younger generation and have played pokemon games for over half my life. I did download pokemon go to see what it was all about, but didn't much enjoy it. I hate to be rude or negative, but most of the issues with the game are all easily avoidable if people were responsible and had any sort of intelligence or common sense. Walking off of a cliff? That is not the games fault. If you are dense enough to be that unaware of your surroundings, you were going to die anyway. You're upset because your daughter almost got kidnapped while walking around unattended at the age of 10 in random neighborhoods? Maybe watch your children, and don't let them roam around by themselves. This isn't 1972. This is 2016. You should ALWAYS have an eye on your children. Children get kidnapped in broad daylight, in public, in stores, while you are standing right there. There was a woman that said she was going to try to sue pokemon go, because her and her son were "led by the game" to a known homosexual-hookup park in their city, and her child was exposed to sights that he didn't need to see. Umm mmm, you said yourself that it was a known hookup park. Why did you walk with your child into a known hookup park and not expect it to still be the same hookup park that it has always been?! D'Oh!

Sorry. Rant over. Moral of the story, utilize common sense and you'll be fine. I hate to say it, but maybe pokemon go will be good for population control/natural selection.

I have noticed that common sense does not seem to be in vogue these days. A commodity in short supply.........

No, those born with a cell phone and a computer in hand are unable to verbally express themselves due to lack of practice. A hand-written item is often difficult for them. I blame their parents for that, fir not keeping their kids well-rounded. They all should be taken to County Fairs more often.

But put them in front of any keyboard and watch their minds soar! Technology is theirs. That's progress typically misunderstood by generations before them. Sort of like "wearing dungarees" and "Rock and Roll will ruin this country", "long hair and Hippies". It's often hard for older generations to see any value of what they don't understand.

I heard,November release, a separate console for $59. The original Pokemon game released along with several other vintage games.

Are you talking about the Mini NES, Cheryl? I can't wait for it to be released. I also can't wait for them to release the SNES mini!!! Super Nintendo was my favorite ever!

Yes, I saw that on the news. I want to buy it for my Son-In-Law. He is in the Navy and could bring it with him when he goes underway. Which is the better and what is the difference?

What a great idea!!! Especially since it is so compact and easy to plug-n-play.

There is no better or worse, Cheryl. The NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) which was their original console gaming device came out in 1983. The SNES (Super Nintendo Enterainment System) was the next/upgraded gaming console that came out in 1991. Since I am a child of the late late 80's, I grew up in the 90's and therefor am more emotionally attached and connected to the SNES, because that is what I mainly played on. the NES has more retro/classic games which are fun, but the SNES has all of the games and "feel" of my child-hood. Both were great consoles in their own right. Thumbs up

Thanks, @JamesAcclaims He was born in 1987. I will look for SNES. Maybe, if you have the time, when you see it out in the stores, can you alert me? I hope it's not going to be one of those stand-in-line-Black-Friday deals. groan.

There has been no mention of the SNES yet, but I know they will make one given the popularity of the NES that hasn't even come out yet, and because SEGA is already making a mini for competition.
