I was helping DD with her yard. She mentioned she had many spiders so I cleared out as many of the webs as I could. She was right, they were all over the place. Even on her lime tree. She said something that made me think. Thought I'd toss it out to you. She said she didn't mind the spider webs on the lime tree. Though unsightly, she thinks the webs and/or the spiders seemed to capture the spider mites. She hasn't had a mite issue all summer so far. What do you think??

Although I have yet to see spider mites, I had a problem with aphids at one time. I was treating my plants to be rid of the problem but then I noticed small spider webs and tiny predator spiders on my potted plants. The spiders ate the aphids. I am so happy with them...I hardly ever have aphid infestations anymore.
