My friend Peggy had a question on repotting a plumeria that I had no answer for, but I told her "I can find out...........". So, here I am. She has one that is just one long stem about 40 inches long with good leaf growth on the top. Her question is can she "bury" more of the stem in the soil to help keep it more "sturdy" in the pot, or should she not do that.

I can go take a pic if it would be helpful or if you can't "see" it in your mind.

Peggy thanks you. LOL

Anna, if that plant has been rooted a good while (2-4 wks. perhaps), those roots will extend out and down a good ways. I don't know what size pot she has, but all plumeria (other than the compact growers) soon become top-heavy. I don't really think that burying the plant will do much good. I have to stake all my plants, all 80 of them, otherwise they would blow over whenever there is much wind. That's just the way it is with these trees. Just my opinion based on experience, you understand. Whistling
