This must be a common wild thing / roadside weed that everyone in the world is familiar with....except me. What is it, please?

TIA

Wow, Sue...I think that's it and I never would have guessed. We've been here 2 1/2 years now and there are still things popping up that are unfamiliar to me....I like wild-ish looking things and this will go in with my grasses.

Thank You Much!

Ummmm...no...NOT going in with my grasses...extremely invasive. I'm surprised that I've never encountered it before....

It is pretty, I saw some growing in a flower bed it had sneaked into the other day looking right at home! It's toxic to livestock so one that I kept an eye out for in the pasture. There are some larger flowered garden-worthy ornamental Hypericums though.

Yes, I've grown other hypericums before, just had never seen the common one...and yes, toxic to livestock and things can be very invasive here...so it does not get to live in my yard...I miss it already.....already pulled and tossed it...LOL...
