I stopped by a local nursery today to see what they had. It tempts me everytime I drive to work as they always have a nice display of daylilies.

Today there were at least 15 different varieties. I already had several (Daring Deception, Lacy doily, Christmas Ribbon, and a few more).

They of course had several that I don't have like Green Flutter (I bought it Whistling ), Sunday Gloves (very pretty, but I already have enough creamy white), and then this one called Bakabana.

The nursery man said that it is supposed to get upto 40 blooms per scape, but he was doubtful. I really liked the color, the taller strong scape and all of the emerging buds, so it jumped into my van to come home with me!!!!

So I add it to my list of plants and see that there are no pictures and only 1 other plant owner.... umm that starts to worry me. So off to research.... yes it is registered. then I find it listed under Darwinplants.com as one of their Daylily 500 plants. Okay so yep, if this plants develops a nice large clump in 3 years and has at least 12-15 scapes, you could theoretically get 500 flowers. I guess that I'll have to see what this plant does.
