I stopped shopping at Target when I saw they had stuck straw flowers in the tops of their cactus. Gene

The December issue of the RHS magazine, The Garden, has an article on modern poinsettias. They say there are now many varieties in a big range of colours, also much easier to keep than they used to be. Some great photos, but I'm not sure if you can access the article online.
And I completely agree with Christine - nature's colours are the best!

Here's some poinsettias I saw last year in the conservatory of our rather diminutive local botanical garden -

If you want to have an idea just how repulsive those painted Echeveria plants can be open this site:

Crying http://www.greencre8.nl/assort... Crying

BUT DO NOT IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH!

They were 'popular' a year or two ago, some people actually believe they grow this way. You can buy painted orchids here just as well ('blue' Phalaenopsis by injecting ink in the flowering stem) or near king's day orange chrysanthemum which are whites dipped in paint. The things some people do for money.... For years the company I work for sold a glue which was used by our customers to dip young conifers in, than through a bath of glitters and which were sold as 'mini' christmas trees. A big hit (over 1.000.000 sold each year) but soooo ugly Rolling on the floor laughing

Really nice ducks! However, Goat Driver's first photo has this odd brown blob thing going on at each duck. I can't figure it out as the rest seems quite clear. I am guessing some sort of in-camera glitch?

I happened to have a cloudless night the first night of the 2016 Supermoon
as I stood on my porch that night!
It started out with a super glow around the super moon then later
it had no glowing light surrounding it.

The craters with the naked eye were indeed so close you felt you could touch them.

I saw a photograph that I envied wishing I could stand among the photographers
high on a mountain or ridge..which it did not have copyright on it so I am including it for you to
see..It made me so excited and wishing I was there..if you have any idea where in the world
this might have been ...tell me..

I am sure there are places that high up that would give the
opportunity to see the super moon in that closeness...if it is copyrighted just delete it
as I would never do that on purpose.

My photograph follows...just the supermoon ...only

I've been making some deer jerky this morning....putting it on the dehydrator trays and adding seasonings in this photo. I forgot to take any photos of grinding the meat. This jerky will be ready to eat later tonight..Mmmm

@mcash70 It stores fine at room temp. I usually vacuum seal it in quart jars. It does not normally last long enough to spoil anyway Whistling
