I am really pleased that Dave added the generic "Rose" modification to the database were jumbles of rose pictures can go. I now have a home for my pictures of mixed roses. I just added a ton of pictures. Now to wait until they get approved. I more often take pictures of rose beds than I do closeups of one type of rose. Even closer many of them flop all over each other and what you get is a picture of a riot of colors.

I just approved that ton of pictures. They're amazing, awesome, inspiring, and spectacular. Everyone should go straight to that page to look at all of Rita's photos.

Those photos would make anyone want to grow roses. (If only we all had Rita's skill.) Beautiful!

Would the generic rose database be the place to put pictures of rose seedlings that we bred, but never bothered to register?

Thanks! Big Grin

I do have a few HTs but most of my roses are Floribundas or what they stick into the shrub rose catagory. Very few Austins here. I did try more than I have but got rid of most of them. Instead I have lots of J&P Floribundas and lots of Clements roses. Gosh, I just love Clements roses.

Have to spray here with systemic fungicide in the humid east coast or my roses would be a blackspot mess. Every two weeks starting from just after the leaves appear. I also feed them with Rose Tone and toss out Alfalfa pellets in the spring. That would be the only time I use the bagged fertilizer. Instead I use Neptunes Liquid Seaweed Fertilizer every two weeks until the spring flush starts. You can mix it with the fungicide when you are going to spray. After the spring flush I don't use the Neptunes as often and by end of August I don't use any fertilizer.

Thats it. Really they look so pretty in bloom because the roses are jammed really, really close together in clusters.

Tabby, the seedling photos can go there, and I've approved a seedling photo you submitted, but they're going to get lost among other things, I'm afraid, because the captions don't show up until you click on the photo.

You should start a blog and post the photos and information there. It seems like the ideal place for things like that.
