I'm growing two kinds of corn and want to cross pollinate, but it looks like they aren't going to produce pollen at the same time. Can I collect fresh pollen and store in the freezer?

I know you can collect and store orchid pollen. For long term storage, orchid pollen is put into sealed test tubes with a desiccant at the bottom and placed in a cool dry place (not frozen or refrigerated). It lasts for several years. For short term, Its usually folded up into a small piece of paper and stored someplace cool and dry. It lasts a month or so that way.

I don't see why it wouldn't work with corn or any other plant.

Be sure to dry the pollen before you do any storage. 2-4 days inside with air conditioning would do the trick.
