We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, so this drizzle is an unexpected surprise. I'm sorry if today's rain ruins someone's picnic, soccer game, fun run. I am going to dance in it this morning!

That's wonderful!

My husband is watching a ballgame being played in Texas. It's raining there! So I looked at that radar, and wow, that's really some RAIN!
Interesting blurb on the weather channel- possible localized flooding.

I hope all of you get some rain.

We were out to dinner and on the way home, we saw all the school buses leaving our high school stadium at 8:30. It dawned on us that the band competition was today. It always rains for the band competition.... every year in October! After months and months of no rain, it rained today and soaked all those kids and their parents in the stands. Hope they had fun. I commented to DH that at least our daughter picked volleyball so we could be in an inside gym. He then reminded me we also sat in the rain at lots of soccer games....

Thanks flafwrgrl. We all appreciate your enthusiastic cheer for us!

Up at 5 am and watching it through the window. it was a beautiful sight, even the lightning show was dazzling. I had missed the rain for so long. Just a heavy downpour, not much wind at all. We had 2" by 8 am. It's stopped now, but I think it's supposed to rain again later today. Time to start my whining for another rain tank.

Congratulations to everyone who is getting drenched with rain today. I'm watching that doppler hoping it'll come this way (50% chance it will) but not before it has fully drenched all of you! Thumbs up

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray for Rain! I am so glad some moisture is finally coming your way over there in Texas! I hope your entire state gets drenched! We've had non stop rain and high winds (30-40mph with higher gusts) for almost 48 hours. It's supposed to be rainy for the next couple of days too. I heard on the news that neighborhoods in Orlando had power lines down and other cities are experiencing flooding. I'm surprised we haven't had power lines down here on the coast, the lights have been flickering off and on today. We have high surf advisories, high wind warnings and flood warnings. I think we've received 8" or more of rain in the past two days so we have plenty to share with y'all!

San Antonio also had a tornado that hit on the SW side. No injuries that I've heard of and widespread power outages all over the city. Had the TV off until the evening news this evening, so hadn't heard until then. Guess we're lucky...we just had rain!.

Here in Florida we've got buckets to spare... or maybe enough to fill a few ponds!

I hope you get a week of steady, slow rain. The kind that soaks into the earth! So happy for you. Believe me we in the SW desert know what it is to go without. Keep it up, or keep it comin' down! Big Grin Thumbs up
