This article (actually a chapter from a book) shows the root development of many vegetables, and gives info on nutritional needs. I found it very helpful to "see" what goes on under the soil.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

I am one of those people that digs up a plant at the end of season to see what the roots did and how they looked so this was right up my alley.
That is a very informative link with more information than just the root systems. Thanks for sharing.
