Background history:

'No Boys Allowed' is a semi-evergreen tetraploid introduced in 2006 by Judy Davisson. Judy is also known as "Davi" here on ATP! Check out her website for more of her beautiful daylily creations: http://www.picturetrail.com/da...

A wonderful interview with Judy can be viewed here: http://hemaholicsanonymous.blo...... as well as this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Juli started a thread about Judy Davisson: The thread "ATP Series: The Daylilies of Judy Davisson" in Daylilies forum

No Boys Allowed is an early to mid-season bloomer. It has earned the Honorable Mention: 2012 AHS award. It is both pod and pollen fertile with 9 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...

This plant can be found in the NGA Plant Database at:
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'No Boys Allowed') .

Please join in, if you own this plant! We would love to know more! I award an acorn for performance information posted to this thread.

Also, please consider adding a "Local Report" to the NGA Plant Database! Thank you!

I have no Davisson Daylilies, but plan on adding atleast two for next spring, and I'm excited to grow her plants, after all the good things I have heard about them.

This is a very pretty and very showy garden plant, and one that will definitely draw you eye from across the garden when at clump strength. In my garden, scapes are taller than registered, being more in the 35-40" range. It sets pods easily and is a great parent for watermarks. I will be blooming lots of seedlings out of it next year.

It is a parent of several other favorites including MAMA DRAMA and ROSES FOR DALLAS.

It's one that's been on my wish list for several years now. There are a few I've considered replacing it with (think skinny), but those have all been Davisson intros and usually children of 'No Boys Allowed'. In the end, I've just left it. It's really got an appealing look to it. I'll be interested in the reports on this one.

NO BOYS ALLOWED is all about color, for me. In spite of it's very rude name, I bought it as a new release back in the day...lol. I am still drawn to it's coloring, as I just used the pollen of child, ROSES FOR DALLAS.... and spread it all over the yard.

I have registered two children of my own from NO BOYS, and a grandchild, GRANDPA BILL LAIRD....so I have great admiration for this plant.

Turns out, you can't keep the boys out...lol.

This one IMHO is a very beautiful feminine looking flower that is well named indeed! Lovey dubby Angel Lovey dubby Corey gave a good description of NBA, a clump of this plant is very, very eye catching.

Betty - Do you have this cultivar? (I couldn't discern whether you have it or are commenting about what Corey said.)

NO BOYS ALLOWED makes a statement in the garden, it's beautiful. Vigorous, hardy, great color, great parent, highly recommended.

In this photo it's the one front and center.
