No, that chair container was a little too pricey!! I will watch for one at a garage sale or something. I like yours Steven! I would think they are easy to pop into a bed, a little added height and interest to a planting area!

Here is my Cubit thread that I started for the garden progress:
http://cubits.org/Suehomegarde...
And a few shots of the plants I had scattered at my Mom's while we waited for the house to close, which took a total of 8 months (darn short sales!), 6 of those months we lived at my Mom's because our house sold the first week we listed it. I shocked myself at the number of pots that I actually had, it was mind boggling but we have done about 8-9 trips now to my Mom's to collect a load of pots, sometimes with 2 vehicles. It's sobbering and hubby is more than annoyed now. He will enjoy it though when everything is planted and that garden starts to fill in! Big Grin

Here is another chair from a garden tour I did in Cincinnati a few years ago. I probably shared this a few times in the past.Thumb of 2011-07-08/Calif_Sue/3f53b5

Thanks for the link Sue. It is mind boggling to me, thinking about caring for that many containers.
Love that pink chair, I agree with Chris, the plant colors are great against the pink.

I agree about the mind boggling. Containers is something that I really want to break into, but the reality of caring for them keeps me from jumping in.

I love getting the eye candy, though!

I agree, containers are a lot more challenging than growing in-ground plants. I generally do OK with them, but when we go away on a week-long vacation in late summer, they barely survive. I can't find a qualified babysitter.

It take some of the fun out of a vacation when you worry about what you let back at home. : ( I think that's why I don't want to leave home for very long, no more than 2 or 3 days.

That's where drip systems on timers come in! (and I never had them, always intended to get a round to it!) I had family come water, mostly my Mom who totally understood my plant obsession as she's a gardener too but even she said I had too many. Rolling my eyes.

In my last garden I had tons of pots scattered throughout the beds, they added height.

yes, the height. Height and whimsy are key things that are hard for me to come by, but I'm working on it.

We've been moved in for a year and a half, but I was pregnant last year so I didn't get any landscaping done at all. So, everything is brand new as of this spring. All that to say that things are still very new.

I have managed a few containers- I'll go around and take pictures after I get everyone situated in a few mins.

Charleen what is the light green foliage in with the Semp? Love Mr. Toad. : )

The last 3 years I have been gone from home so much that I am wondering if I will ever get my yard back in shape. I don't seem to have the strength and energy that it takes to keep up with 1/2 acre of yard. Didn't use to seem like anything, not so much now. Sad

Sue you do such an awesome job of staging. I love looking at your photos.

Creeping Charlie I think is what it's called. Wouldn't you know I'd have to get it???? But you have to watch it, they say it can run wild. But with our dry weather It does pretty good..Thumb of 2011-07-08/Ridesredmule/4ce0f5
