Any clue as to what species of rhipsalis this is? Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think it looks more like a Euphorbia.

Thank you so much Tara, it did look like an ewaldiana at first, but after searching and looking at a ton of pictures, I think I have to go with Lin and say it is a Rhipsalis teres f. prismatica! Thank you both so much!

Hatiora salicornioides. aka Dancing Bones. I love this guy.

I definitely know it is some form of rhipsalis because that is what the greenhouse had it labeled as!

Check out the photos of Dancing Bones Cactus (Hatiora salicornioides) for comparison. I used to have that one and would confuse it with one of my Rhipsalis. I'm not certain but I think "Dancing Bones" had thinner stems than the Rhipsalis.

They are synonyms for many species, Hatiora/Rhipsalis/Rhipsalidopsis genus. It looks like R. teres f. prismatica to me too.

Happy to share. That kind of thing is maddening! The synonyms might not all be listed here. If you catch an entry missing a synonym, it can be added. Then when people search for the synonym, they'll find the plant.

Nope, it's not dancing bones. Like Lin said, that one has thinner stems with bonelike growth. Your plant is a cutie and should fill out nicely.

Lindsey, did you get a positive id? Rhipsalis is hard to ID for certain. The good news is I think you can get culture info on any rhipsalis that looks similar to yours, and your plant will be happy.

Hi everyone!

So I am back to questioning this plant's ID! Haha.

I no longer believe that it is Rhipsalis pilocarpa because since then I have bought an actual pilocarpa, and it produced pink hairy fruit at the tips of each stem.

On the other hand, this plant produces little greenish fruit spheres that are not hairy along the stem, not on the tips.

Any clue what it would be now? The puzzle continues. Haha.

I unfortunately already opened up the fruit to save the seeds to plant. Here is a pic online that looks exactly like it though! This website labeled this plant as Rhipsalis baccifera. Thoughts? I'm not sure if multiple Rhipsalis species have these little green fruits or not.

Officially found out what it is! It is a Mistletoe Cactus... I returned to the greenhouse and asked!

And Mistletoe Cactus are Rhipsalis. And Rhipsalis is the new name given to many Hatiora.
AND, none of them are a cactus. So now that we are all confused and all right as well, don't you love the endless name changes. Some days I just pull out a really old houseplant book, and flip through it remembering the old familiar names, that have been changed at least once.

The simple name Mistletoe Cactus was probably more recognized than either Hatiora or Rhipsalis. I use to be obsessive about having the correct name for all my plants. Not so much any more. Glad you have an id. It's been a very fun plant I have had for years now.
