Rhamnus versus Frangula

Ontario, Canada (Zone 4b)
We have entries for Rhamnus frangula and entries for Frangula alnus. According to the Catalogue of Life Rhamnus frangula is a synonym of the accepted name Frangula alnus subsp. alnus. I assume these separate entries need to be merged?
