Did this plant pop up from a seed, do you think? Those leaves look a little bit like my clerodendrum, but I'll reserve judgement until you tell us where you are.

Are you sure it's not a tree? Looks like Royal Empress Tree - Paulownia tomentosa. Knowing where the plant/tree is located would be helpful.
