Hey, all - has anyone grown this plant in zone 6? Specifically, SC Indiana? It's so beautiful - check out the MOBOT link below. But, MOBOT says hardiness is a concern in the St. Louis area - roughly the same lat as Bloomington, IN. What do you think? http://www.missouribotanicalga...

I would say buy a couple or get some in a trade and see what happens. You might get lucky and have the right microclimate for it.

I know this is late but. I live just north of you in Putnam county and grow it.

Thanks, Claudia! Our winter was so mild I thought for sure both of mine would come back, but only one did. Weird, huh? Confused

I planted like 10 corms last year but only about half come back up this year. I blame some of it on moles that dug in that area. Yes, we really hardly had winter this year. Go figure!

I live in zone 5 and had to thin mine out last year. The corms will spread but if you leave the stalks they will spread by seed too.
