That's really beautiful. I never have any luck with the colored coneflowers though. I get one season out of them and they don't come back. The "regular" purples thrive but the colors don't. I wonder what I'm doing wrong?

I do not think the new verities have a long life span like the old purple originals .

I have a pretty one that came up from some where Shrug! last year and is doing very well this year.
