Look at Fiddle Leaf Philodendron.

I agree, it looks like Horsehead Philodendron (Philodendron bipennifolium) also called Fiddleleaf Philodendron, Fiddle Leaf Philodendron

How did this plant gain a cultivar name? There isn't a cultivar, just the species with various common names.

Not patented, according to Dave's:

Splash Gordon is a common name:

That was the only way I could ID it on the site, I'm not sure:/

I see that our database also shows a cultivar, 'Panda' and I've always known Panda Plant as a common name for http://garden.org/plants/searc...

Lindsey, sorry I didn't phrase that well. I didn't mean your specific plant but the species in general.

The species entry is here:
Horsehead Philodendron (Philodendron bipennifolium)

I doubt the panda and splash Gordon names are genuinely patented cultivars, just common names, all the exact same plant. The golden/lime colored one is different, and the variegated. Can anyone find any documentation of those 2 names being cultivars?

I can't find anything that would indicate Panda is anything more than a common name so I deleted the entry and added it as a common name to Horsehead Philodendron (Philodendron bipennifolium)

I'm unsure of Fiddle Leaf Philodendron (Philodendron bipennifolium 'Splash Gordon') It's listed as a legacy entry on the I.A.S. site. http://www.aroid.org/cultivars... From the photos I see the yellow variegation looks splashed in small sectors when compared to Variegated Fiddle-leaf Philodendron (Philodendron bipennifolium 'Aurea Variegata')
