Hello,
How do I dehydrate my compost tea? I want to make my tea into a powdered form. Thank you for your help.

Welcome! to Garden.org agrarianfoodweb!! Most people just put fresh compost in a mesh bag made for compost tea but there are people who sell compost tea bags already made up and I'm sure it's dehydrated.

I think you would be defeating the point of compost tea by dehydrating. One of the main benefits of compost tea is the live organisms in it. By dehydrating you would be destroying those organisms.

Ok what am I missing here? Compost makes compost tea. Why add water to compost to try and dehydrate out the water out of the compost tea again? Wouldn't you just try to dry the compost? I make compost and alfalfa tea. I could take the ingredients, not make tea and put them in the garden soil. Which I do in spring. The tea is supplemental feedings to give the plants energy without the heat of fertilizer in the heat of summer, and to stretch limited amounts of compost. Many blessings of joy to everyone!

Hilarious! I think they meant they want to dehydrate the compost so they can make tea later not dehydrate the actual tea.

This entire thread is very interesting and I am going to watch it. I too do not understand why one would want to dehydrate compost tea, but perhaps the idea was just out of my scope of thinking? @agrarianfoodweb, what are you planning to do with your dehydrated compost tea? Perhaps package it for later use? Something else? Interested to know.
