This is the first bloom from this seedling, seeds of Dr. Mark Dimmitt's. The others are progressing and I hope to see more.
Really like this one.

Simply gorgeous, Rick! Lovey dubby

My A. obesum x Crispum seedlings are not growing very well. Maybe they don't like my weather. Shrug!

I cannot imagine anything not liking your weather, although I have never grown in your weather. So I need to refrain.
Maybe changes things up, Kadie. Give them different conditions?

Okay, will do that Rick. Come to find out Crispum are intolerant of heat and humidity.

Just can't get over the flower of your seed-grown hybrid. It does have the crispum trait and the leaves' white veining is also indicative of the crispum trait. I'll bet you were absolutely thrilled when the bud blossomed. Angel You will show the caudex eventually, won't you? nodding

Thank you.

I was very pleased to have one bloom. Will be interesting to see w next flower that opens. On this one, one of the petals looks like two fused together.
I am told by people growing the Crispum crosses that you can get some real interesting blooms.

I will show it's Caudex on next floor opening. Not much of anything right now though.

Yes, I noticed the petal that appeared fused. I couldn't think of a good word to describe it so didn't mention it. Hilarious!
