Oh! you’ve got rock wool substrate ?
I am very interested in your attempt to grow on it
I will wait your picture .

Now I am very disappointed, because white powder mildew comes out on my semp foliage.
I don’t know the reason why? It’s Too wet ?

Mr. Lee it is so good to see you again.
Are you growing them indoors or outdoors?

If indoors that could be the problem. To much moisture, not enough light and not enough air circulation.

If outdoors you are probably giving them to much moisture and maybe not positioned for enough sun?

Can you show us a close up photo?

I will definitely post photos of my project when I get started. Cliff is making me a frame to hold the rock wool substrate so it can hang on a wall or fence. Meanwhile
I will use a plastic nursery flat for the form to hold it all in place.

Thank you Ms. Lynn !
I am growing it indoors , and not enough light and air circulation .
When the substrate was much moisture , the powder came out .
Now I dry it ,but the powders do not disappear .
I will show you it on Monday

Mr. Lee, can you put them outside? Then the new growth should not have the powder.

Now I am really anxious to start my project to see if there will be any problems. I will plant the substrate with both sempervivum
and sedum. That way I will know if the two types of plants behave differently in the same conditions.

I think I will use two of the Sempervivum 'Big Red' in this experiment. It will be interesting to see how it grows in substrate.

It is minus 10 centigrade degree here Seoul Korea , so I am afraid to let it stay out side .
Here are some picture of sedum and semp that is in my living room.
Semp are milky white powder on the leafs ,but sedum is not.

Mr. Lee, are they a mix of hardy and tender succulents? Do you have snow cover outside? It does look like they are getting to much water and not enough
light.

The photos of the sempervivum are not very clear, but it looks like it could be mealybug. Can you give us a clearer photo Mr. Lee?

Your dog planter is so cute. It almost looks real.

Twit, are you there? What do you think about Mr. Lee's plant problem?

Sorry about the confusion Mr. Lee. : )

Twit is one of our members here. He is very knowledgeable about growing conditions for succulents. Hopefully he will be by sometime later today
and help us with what is happening with your plants.

Do you have a magnifying glass to see the white specks up close, to see if there is actually a tiny bug in it?
