Ursula, the Coelia bella is not doing much. It is still in its large hanging basket and get late afternoon sun. It gets watered almost every day and fertilized with a 1/2 diluted, balanced fertilizer every month. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I will go out this AM and take a couple of photos. Perhaps you can tell me where I am going wrong.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
Ken, mine is adding growth now and it always blooms around Christmas for me. Perhaps you are just impatient?
This plant can take a good deal of sun, I have never seen it burn. It gets straight morning sun in the cage, and when I move it inside in the Fall, I grow it in a bright spot!

I exercised a little patience waiting for my B. nodosa flowers to finally open all the way. Also here's 'maybe Yellow Bird' turning slowly yellow in the cool, wet weather.
I see this wonder of nature every time I look out my patio door, and the scent nearly knocks you over when you open the door! Beige baby is nearly done, mauve and beige - bleah! (yes the lip really is very mauve, not pink as it appears in the pictures)
