I rarely see proliferations among my daylilies; however, this year Pumpkin Kid gave me one. Going on what I think I recall reading in the past in this forum, I snipped it off about two inches below the proliferation and stuck in in some potting medium with the bottom barely touching the moist soil. Does this look correct? This appeared to me to be two proliferations. Was I right to leave both? How long should I expect to wait to see roots?
