Valerie your poly bloom of Inwood is very nice. But so are the rest.

Inwood produced a lot of poly blooms this year. I don't remember it doing that any other year. This year has been an odd one with a lot of heat and not much rain.

So nice to still be seeing beautiful blooms in August. Many of mine are done and the ones blooming tend to be rather plain but I keep them for the late bloom.

Peach Rum Festival is a nice double. Not much foliage left by the time it blooms.


Royal Jester and Olallie Star just keep on blooming.






Sandra Elizabeth is just a nice clear yellow and one of my August favorites.


Pumpkin Time is starting to show it's bud building talents.

I went out to check our daylily beds after .33 inches of rain I found that one bloom had lost one of its headlights but here it is anyway,

Susan--Beautiful blooms for August! I think your foliage looks good for this time of year! The size of the flowers is great along with their color and substance, too!

Charley--glad you got your rain! What a cute bloom! Did the rain cause that? Do you have sandy soil? Interesting!

More beautiful color!

That is what I need more of - more color. Or at least, more color where it can be seen from the house. Right in back of the house (which is what we see) is the Moon Garden, so that is where many of the near-white daylilies go. I'm reluctant to change that; I already have color encroaching all around it. I guess I had better figure out why things keep failing to thrive in certain areas of the other beds near the house.

Fwiw, 'December Wedding' had 3 blooms open today; the clump has been so pretty (and in bloom every quarter month since the beginning of June, with some bloom before then) that I'm going to put it on my Popularity Poll ballot.

I also have ONE scape (out of a trio of all-together large clumps) of 'Beautiful Edgings' which just started rebloom. The one scape there looks somewhat strange...

I've been wanting to make one using a tall, large vase-shaped painted/glazed plant container. That would be my main cost unless I can find a pot really cheap or free. I love the rock you used. No rocks here like that.

I used River Rock around larger rocks I pulled from other places in the yard. Too tight to go buy new ones

Well, lucky YOU to have such nice rocks on your property and around your area. Nothing like that here in central Florida. I would have to buy the river rock and everything else. But it sure looks like creating it was a very good investment adding such a lovely water feature.

Love your fountain and what a pretty image of Moroccan Sapphire! I had it here a few years ago and sent it to a more southerly friend, it wasn't happy this far north.

El Bandito - planted to bloom at the same time as my black-eyed Susans. Unfortunately, the Susan in the photo is just a bud!


Sea Gold - this oldie just keeps on blooming, even with an earwig hiding in its center


Siloam Pink Glow - still blooming, as well


Siloam Peewee - a clump shot, this one just blooms and blooms. Lots of spent bloom scars showing, with buds left to come

Little Italy - This was a bonus plant that I wasn't too sure of, but I like it a lot. It is blooming consistently well.
