It's my birthday! And in addition to my traditional Tropical Storm, I got the Squirrel Solutions Seed Saver 200 Wild Bird Feeder! Check it out here:

Dad and I had been discussing getting a better bird feeder. He was reading reviews and told me the Squirrel Buster ones had some negative reviews because larger birds were getting thrown off the feeder, too! Oh no! So I guess he decided this one would be best. I figure this should prove a great source of amusement, and I wonder how long the squirrels will keep trying to get on it.
Meanwhile, it's raining outside. Duh. I filled the bird feeder full yesterday because I wasn't sure what birds do in a tropical storm situation. I thought they might not want to wander far from home - and I'm fairly certain my trees are home to a lot of them - and so far I've seen what I think is the juvenile Cardinal and several Tufted Titmice on the feeder. It's really dark outside so it's hard to tell. But I'm glad I'm keeping the birds fed through this weather.
