These are some pictures of my small town garden located in Bellevue Ky. I live across the river from Cincinnati Ohio. I don't have much gardening space at all 60'x 90' and that includes my house, deck and shed. I try to do different things every year. Most of my garden decor is recycled, reused or repurposed. I grow daylilys, hosta and many other perennials and annuals for extra color through outthe growing season. I also have a fairy, pixie and gnome garden. I hope you enjoy the pictures and become inspired by what can be done with little gardening space! Fairy, pixie and gnome pics to come soon. Thank You! LilySue

Thank you Altheabyanothername! I grow about 200 different daylilies in my garden. When I finally had the time to take pictures most of them had bloomed. I will post others of the fairy garden as soon as I get time.

LilySue,
What a lovely garden! I really enjoyed looking over your pictures and seeing your combinations of plants. Since all of my daylilies are out in open areas, I was envious of your fence area as a backdrop. The garden art was also a delightful touch. It sure looks like you put much thought and planning into your little garden, and therefore, it creates a big impact! Well done!

I love your garden areas! How lovely! Great choice of blooming plants (including all the daylilies). And the garden art is wonderful! I can't wait to see your fairy garden photos.

I have been doing all the hardscaping in my yard for the past 6-8 years. I have plants in place, but not as beautiful as yours. And garden art is something I really want to add to my yard. I love what you have done! Such a delightful garden! Thank you for sharing. It's inspiring and puts lots of ideas into my head.

I have made some miniature gardens in containers which are such fun to create. My next project is going to be converting a wheelbarrow into a garden container. I haven't decided if I am going to make it a miniature garden or something else. I am leaning towards a miniature garden. I look forward to seeing your miniature garden. I am sure it will inspire me!

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm truly amazed of your responses of praise. My garden art is salvage , trash treats picked by my recycling husband. The gazing ball is huge. It was once a lamp base and it sits on an antique chimney that my Mother had received 2 of from a friend of hers. The butterflies are trash treats, thrift store fins and a few from the dollar store. The flowers on the front porch are from trash as well as the sign "GARDEN OF eScapes I made from a twin bed frame. Most people who know me know that nothing is garbage until I say it's garbage.
The size of my yard certainly makes things challenging so garden art is needed to really make it stand out. I will put up other trash treat garden decor again as I can't use everything every year.
I'm going to upload the fairy garden pictures. Then I will work on the gnome and pixie garden. My gardens are at ground level. I'm working to get some in bigger pots next year. I make some of the accessories myself and of course trash finds come in handy too. I hope you enjoy them and are inspired to recycle ,reuse, and repurpose trash. Please feel free to ask any questions. Happy gardening....Sue

Sue-- What an utterly charming fairy garden. I thought at first my favorite was the play area with the slide and teeter totter and swing. But when I saw they had their own fire pit that was so clever, it became my favorite area! That must have been so much fun putting it altogether! Totally magnificent! Can not wait to see more of your creative mind! Excellent job! May you and your family be blessed with peace and joy!

Legallily, The fairy garden is about -3 1/2'x2 1/2' not big at all. I do not leave it out all year. I will soon clean and pack it up. Next year I will spray as I do every year, with a clear acrylic to help protect the pieces. As the color has faded on the fairies I will dry brush with acrylic paints to brighten them up a bit.
As I said earlier a lot of stuff is recycled . The roof is a lamp shade that I wired down aluminum sheeting, cut to shape, painted then a terra saucer was added for the top of the roof. I will be adding a chimney as soon as I find something I like. The fire pit was made from a heavy tea light candle holder and a small sink strainer, The fire pit patio was something my husband picked that I glued and covered in small gravel. The vegetable garden was a small retangle piece of galvanized metal that I filled with peat moss mixed with wood glue for the soil. I then made the veggies out of polymer clay. The potting bench was a doll house dresser bought at the Dollar tree. I used small crafts sticks for the picket like fence behind it. Sorry I posted a gnome garden pic in there to soon. The pixie garden will be next. Thank You!

Some great ideas there! I am so interested in what you are building as well as how you design your settings. Where do you get all the fairies at?
