need to know if someone knows why my EE are loiking like this . This began to happen when the started painting the balconys of my apart.complex. I know i need to replant them in mixed soil dirt. Here in Dallas it is hot i mean H O T ! So my babies are going to be planted where all the sun of the midnoon until 7-8 when the sun comes down so i know the need ALOT of water but with this heat i water my babies one to 2 times a day . morning and late afternoon. I have pics before and after . ( DESPERATELY ).. Ive had EE in the past n this never happened..

I dont know how much I can help, but here in NY the heat & humidity has destroyed my EE this year, mine have always been in containers and yes they need alot of water,usually I've never had a problem with them in full sun as long as I keep them watered well. I hope someone can give you more help

Looks like bad case of spider mites. Do you see any microscopic bugs or webbing? Especially at the eye of the leaf

rub leaf between thumb and forefinger. If gritty, its spider mites. A stretch is paint over spray from balcony painting.

Agree on it looking like spider mites. The mites & their webbing will be much worse and more visible on the backs of the leaves. How much sun do they get? Here in Houston we're really hot, too, but we also have soupy humidity. In Dallas, you guys are generally a little hotter with drier air. With our continuous extreme heat that lasts as long as it does, if they are getting much sun, in the hottest parts of the year that can bleach them out and give them a case of sunburn even if they are generally sun lovers the rest of the year.

It looks like spider mite damage to me too. You can spray the plants with an insecticidal soap to try to eradicate them or neem oil is also a good product.

Spidermite damage.
These creatures are evil and colocasia do attract them very strong.

You can use a soapwater mix to spray the plant or buy neem oil. Neem oil with water mixed is pretty good. The plants absorbs it and the oil is bitter and the mites stop sucking at the plants.
I think there is neem oil for plants but i forgot the name.
