It's about 3 ft tall. It certainly looks like Howdy and would likely be an older dormant which fits that description. It's been in that spot for years; I don't recall where I got it from but possibly it came from my Mom's garden at one time.

it is too spidery to be the shape of Howdy, so I'd agree with Miss Jessie.
