Leslie,
I'm on the fence about this Ghio Iris and wanted to get someone's first hand experience about how they felt about this cultivar. I've seen a couple of pictures on the Google search that were a little less flattering, and then there are some that make this a 'must have' hybrid. If you wouldn't mind sharing, how would you rate this hybrid? Thanks.
Richard

I think it is an absolutely beautiful bloom. It is such a standout in the garden. This was my first year with it blooming and I was very pleased at how long the blooms lasted, even during what was a very wet spring for my area. I love red iris and the color on this one is wonderful.

Thanks. The Mrs. loves red Irises too. Time to get out my Ghio catalog and put the order through!

Thanks Leslie, the misses admitted tonight that she was on the fence about this iris until she saw it in bloom the past couple of days. Yes, we have TB iris in bloom in NoCal already (Plot Line is the 4th to bloom). In fact, we had one bloom in January and another started in February. But the success of the TB means that our SDB iris were no-shows this year; perhaps too warm this past fall and winter. Sad

We have had odd weather here too. My SDB's are blooming with the TB's. All mixed up because we had a very warm February, then hard freezes in March.

So happy that Plot Line won you and the wife over. It is a beauty in person. Better than it photographs.
