I know the contributor of the proposal gets a system message when approved but does the original contributor receive one as well to inform them? Hope this question makes sense.

The question makes perfect sense. Right now it does not but I definitely should be doing that! It goes on my TODO.

This is now done. Any future image moves will result in notification being sent to the owner of the image (unless the owner herself made the proposal, in which case just an approval message will be sent)
