When I open either my system messages, or the recent photos the box is now stretched out vertically. It is not a problem to me for the system messages, but when you open a recent photo, you only get about a third of the photo with a slider bar. I then have to pull the corners to open up the box and move it around on the screen until I see the entire picture. It makes it a lot more labor intensive to see the new additions.

I am on Windows 10 if that makes any difference. I first noticed this problem yesterday (Aug. 11), and it is still the issue today.

This should already be fixed. Hold down the shift key and refresh the page and then it'll go back to normal for you.
