Someone handed this to me yesterday. It's interesting, almost black, fuzzy, and bumpy. It broke open in my pocket. Anyone have any ideas of what the seeds might become if I plant them?

I think this is going to be a tough one.

It looks like seed pod from pea family (Fabaceae). Locust maybe ? Smiling

It's really small for a locust tree seed. Pea family is a good guess though.
There's only about a million pea family plants. It may go in a pot with a ? on the label.

Yeah, just a pod. People know I grow from seed and they are always giving me unknown plant seeds. You know plants they saw on a hike, or in a parking lot. I've gotten some great plants that way though.
