Using a cordless reciprocating saw with a pruning blade is often easier (and safer) than using a chainsaw or even loppers. This article describes how we use a recip saw around here as a garden tool and provides several illustrations.

I saw this last night and have been planning all day how to present it to dh as if it is the best new toy he deserves to have.

This tool is so perfect for so many of my, Whistling err I mean his chores, I just have to have it, for him.... nodding

So, I did what always works, during this time of year. As his dutiful wife, I surprised him with a big o piece of Strawberry shortcake, with mexican coffee, and a CLOTH napkin. Ok, the cloth napkin was a bit much.

Then I show him Asa's post for this reciprocating saw, hoping he bites and my efforts are not in vain. He says, "oh wow that would be perfect for this yard right now." "Do you think so," I ask. He smiles at me and says....
"I knew I was being set up for something the moment I saw the cloth napkin, honey!!"

Thank you for this post Asa! @evermorelawnless, We did not know about this tool, and it is just what I ..um..we really really need.
