Ooohhhh!!!! I'm so sorry KD! Group hug

Acer updater has known compatibility issues with Windows7 and InternetExplorer. It is just a terrible situation that may continue to develop and eventually get worse as new versions of things are put out for update, but you will be unable to properly upgrade/update, so over time your issues will just compound, because your systems will get further and further incompatible. Sad

It was a known error when Windows7 was pushed out, and Acer really did nothing about it, just waiting on Microsoft to make a fix, and Microsoft was waiting on Acer to make a fix, so it seemingly never got done for those older models. The new Acer models don't seem to have those issues, but at this point....I'm not sure I would be able to suggest anything that would be of any help. Crying

James, you certainly have been of great help to me. Smiling I have a better understanding of the incompatibility issues involved.

Okay, going to buy me another laptop computer. Not Acer?

Like I said, the new Acer models don't seem to have those issues (that I've seen or heard anyway), so you should be fine getting a newer model Acer, but that is really just up to you. I personally just prefer anything another than DELL. Can't stand those things. Thumbs down

Sour sop, Annona muricata, is an amazing plant. The fruit is tasty and the leaves are steeped in water for tea for medicinal purposes.

I have several trees. Given plenty of water and nutrients they will produce fruit within 3 years.

My Chi weighs 1/2 the weight of this sour sop.

@DavidLMO
How are your Annona muricata seedlings doing?

Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Tin, I know you can't grow sour sop in the ground there in New Jersey. I don't know whether you can grow it as bonsai so that you could bring the plant indoors during your winter, but it's worth a try.

2 yrs old soursop that I grow from seed.

First thing you should do is take the seedling out of the pot you have it growing in. It does not like to compete with other plants. Sour sop trees grow fast given adequate warmth, water, nutrients, and light. I have grown seeds in 6" wide but deep nursery pots and within one year they grew to about 2 feet.

In the ground they can produce in less than 3 years. In a bonsai-growing treatment, I don't know how long it would take to produce fruit. I have a seedling in a small pot right now...I think I'll experiment and try doing the bonsai treatment on it as it grows. Big Grin

KD have you tried using Chrome as your browser? That is what I had to do. I have used IE for so long it was frustrating to switch browsers. But now I am ok. Mine is 4.5 also. I did not switch to win10 till they fix some of their problems. Besides I hate Win10. They are keeping updates to win7 till 2020. So that works for me.

Tin It is amazing you can grow what you do in NJ. Are you native USA or did you bring this tropical growing with you. My Asian market rarely has sour sop. They don't seem to last long before they turn brown.

I will separate them next spring. Season is almost over here.

I don't understand your question. If you are asking if I was born here then no. I was born in Vietnam and came here at a very young age. You can find almost all tropical fruits in Florida now. I went to Florida and brought some soursop back.
The nursery near here had tropical fruit trees. I bought a mature lychee tree and a
Star Apple (Camito) for $20 each. Both were about 5 feet tall. I killed them by over fertilizing. Sad

Greene you ask about the different leaves. Maybe that one is more aquatic then the other. Would be nice to know the taste texture difference though.

Does Taro have a starchy taste? It is crunchy when cooked right?

Tin did you get my pm?

Yes. I'll send it out tomorrow. The one I have grow in soil.

I think the one I grow is Colocasia. Most Alocasia are not edible. There are so many different varieties of both.

Get a Mac, you'll never look back. My 2 cents.

MacBooks are nice but they are too expensive for just every day use.
Acer is garbage. Look at Lenovo. I've been using Lenovo and have had no issues.
Also, starting using Microsoft edge instead of IE. Microsoft will eventually kill off IE.

My son did some checking for me. Navy base has a sale on the following:

Toshiba touchscreen $369
Hp $379
ASUS $399
$50 extra to buy replacement option on any in case of breakage.

Son recommends the ASUS.

Mac costs $1,989

I'll probably go with ASUS.
