Edited to add:
This has been identified as Creeping Daisy (Sphagneticola trilobata) Thank you!
...............
This came from the local swap back in April and I have no idea what it is. Thank You!

Trailing plant, roots at nodes. No flowers yet.

I allowed it to run along the ground; it roots itself very easily.

The leaves are spaced along the stems.

It reminds me of an ivy geranium, but not sure if the leaves are quite right for that...

My first thought too, but those leaves would be unusual for pelargonium.

I agree

Looks like Wedelia. Wedelia usually used as grund cover here. A bit invasive as it send root when touch the soil.

I hope I'm wrong but it also reminds me of Creeping Daisy (Sphagneticola trilobata) which is pretty but will take over everything in sight!

Yep, seems to match. Thumbs up
Looks like the Wedelia/Sphagneticola trilobata in the photos @plantladylin added to our database. Thank You!
Thank You! @Metrosideros I will keep an eye on it.
Thank You! @XiaoLong Using it as a ground cover sounds like a good plan; I will keep the weed whacker handy just in case it steps out of bound.

I think @Metrosideros/Dave is the one who identified it for me too (about 7 years ago on DG.) Thanks Dave! Thumbs up

I originally got a little snippet of it from my mother in law who had it growing as a ground cover on the bank of the canal behind her house. I grew it in a hanging basket and it ended up on the ground and spreading throughout areas in my backyard. It sure is pretty when in bloom but it's listed as a Category II non-native invasive plant here in Florida.

For me the small plant just sat there ever since April and didn't do a whole lot. When the weather got good and hot it started growing like a weed - some of the stems grew 4 feet long and were rooting along the ground. I think if I keep it contained in a hanging basket on the front porch it should be alright for a while.
