This question is for everyone that is currently (and recently) using PlantStep software to update their lists of daylilies that they own. I've been trying yesterday and today to update PlantStep with my new daylily acquisitions and it tells me that it's trying to connect to the Internet and to please wait, then it pops up an error message that reads:

"Internet Error 12029 - Daylily Info Failes - URL - www.plantstep.com"

I tried the website to see if the website was reachable or if the error was wrong somehow and the error isn't wrong, the website times out on me and won't load. Confused Has anyone else noticed this or would anyone else be willing to try adding a daylily to their database (using the "Add" --> "Find" --> type in daylily name method to see if this is an issue with yours as well? I'm pretty certain that if the website is down, it isn't just my program having issues, but it would be nice to confirm.

I don't want to have to manually enter all of the information for these daylilies if I don't have to; and it makes it a pain in the you-know-what to deal with the duplicates later and recreate all of the information a second time). Thumbs down

Thank you for any help any of you can offer me.

hi DND,

Kent Belan put the following message on the Facebook PlantStep group yesterday:

The www.plantstep.com website will be down for maintenance. This could last for 2 days. Sorry for the short notice and inconvenience. More bad news coming also. The co-location internet provider we have been using for the past 8 years is stopping co-location services. So we have to move the server to a new provider. We will be down for some time during the move ... Thanks for your patience, Kent

I haven't been able to use my Plant Step program. When my old computer crashed and I got a different computer I contacted Kent to help me get the program back. Got the program back but it won't let me post anything to it. Contacted Kent several times and he gave me several solutions but none have worked. I finally gave up.

I saw a notice on FB that it would be down. You could contact him thru FB or just email.

I have put mine on several different computers over the years, always contacting Kent before I did it for instructions and it has worked on all of them without a problem mine have all had windows as the operating system. I would contact Kent again until it is resolved.

Thank you for the information about the downed servers. I'll wait a few days before I try again. If it's still not working, I'll reach out to Kent. It appears to be bad timing on my part, I should have entered these a week or two ago. Sad

I have Windows also. I was initially wondering if my recent Windows update had something to do with it, but, after reading the other comments, it seems pretty clear that it's a server-side issue. Bummer.

better a server-side issue than a your-side Windows update-issue Hilarious!

I agree

...although having it be an issue on my side would give me a certain amount of control over fixing it, though.

Just curious .... Is Plantstep now working?
