Below is a picture of an unknown showy stonecrop my folks have. As you can see it is about to flower (pink). I am guessing now is not the time for taking cuttings. Do they readily sprout from seed? Can cuttings be taken after flowering? Can I get multiple cuttings from each stem? It has been 10-15...maybe more years since it was planted...never moved or thinned.

What part of the country/world do you live in? This can determine if it is to late to try cuttings this year.
I have done cuttings from bloom stalks in late summer. You can make several cuttings from a stalk if there are enough nodes. The nodes are where the pieces will send roots out. Stick them in good loose soil and keep moist.

It sure wouldn't hurt to give it a try. You still have quite a bit of growing season left. Keep the cuttings in a more shaded area so the don't stress as much.
