This is a new one gallon Clematis recta, Purpurea select. The picture is as good as I could get as it is small and whispey right now.

How have you or would you display this kind of clematis. It is suggested to grow it falling over something like a tree or short fence, etc, or even let it ramble on the ground. Now that I have it, I am struggling with what would look best.

Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thank you all.

One of my neighbors has this one. It doesn't ramble on the ground or climb. It just forms a nice rounded bush, about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide.

Oh, wonderful. That is the first time I have found such feedback. Thank you.
