Skinwalker is new to me I just purchased it last year and I did get to see a few blooms this summer, the first bloom did not look
like it was the right daylily, but as more blooms showed up it looked more like the pictures.
I love the color and form of the flower.

Skinwalker does very well for me. It is true to it's AHS description a real show stopper.

Skinwalker is one of my most recent purchases.
I received a nice clump so I'm hoping it will settle and give me some nice scapes next year

When I first purchased Skinwalker in 2006, I received a skimpy fan. The spring of 2007 it died from crown rot. I liked the flower so much that I decided to give it another try. I purchased it again and received a nice clump of 3 to 4 fans. I have had it since and have not babied it much. It does fairly well in my climate although it did not bloom this year because of the drought we have had this summer. Stats are pretty true. As a hybridizer, its only downside is that it will not set pods for me. It's pollen is very good though. I am sure that it probably does extremely well in southern gardens. In the north I would say that it has acceptable growth and very nice bloom.

I have had Skinwalker for two years. I had always wanted it because it was a Stout medalist and did well in the yearly popularity contests. However, it was registered as a dormant.
Even so, I had noticed it was available in the warmer nurseries here. So I gave it a try. It has done very well: there was no die back in winter and it acts like an evergreen here in the subtropics. It flowers late in the second month of spring or early the third month. It is fairly resistant to rust. It is easily pollen fertile but I have never got it to set pods. It reblooms into the middle of summer. I sometimes have to stake the scapes.
I keep on forgetting to confirm if it is nocturnal.

Skinwalker has been here for so long that I couldn't remember WHERE I got it! Upon looking in my database, it said I'd gotten it at the 2006 AHS Convention. That being said, I can't remember whether it was a gift plant or something I purchased there. Ned Roberts was at that convention and we saw a STUNNING plant of it at Pat Sayers garden on Long Island. He was very proud! Sadly he didn't live to see it get the Stout Medal. But it is a very photogenic daylily and does well here. I've heard some people in zones 4, 5, and 6 say that it can be tender for them but it seems to like it here.
It's one of those that I can seldom walk past w/o taking a picture of it!

Love Skinwalker's form, every bloom was perfect in 2022 with curly petals, tried to set a pod on it but none took, used it's pollen instead. Hasn't yet increased for me but only had it 2 years, has good tall scapes.
