I had purchased this from Michigan Bulb as Arisaema Triphyllm and placed in the database , but questions have been asked if that is what it truly is. I'm told this is the place to ask. Any help would be appreciated as to if it should be moved and where it should go. Thanks. On their site it is the only Jack in the Pulpit they carry.

Bob: I'm not familiar with Arisaema so I don't know the identity of your pretty plant but if you don't get a response here right away you might also want to post your inquiry over on the Plant ID Forum: http://garden.org/forums/view/...

Bob,

I've looked over every Arisaema in the IAS database and none of them matches your plant exactly. All I can say is that your plant is NOT A. triphyllum. However, I am a tropical aroid person and have little familiarity with the plants in the genus Arisaema.

Kind regards,
LariAnn

Could it be A. tortuosum?

The Spadix looks black in all the pictures of tortuosum.
