Since I won a great prize ($25 from Victory Seeds!) in last month's raffle, I didn't want to appear greedy and enter the August raffle but I couldn't resist. I used what few acorns I had to purchase a few tickets and now I need to get busy and earn some more acorns.

Thanks again to all the vendors for supporting garden.org and donating such fabulous prizes and also to member jmorth for his great donation of all those acorns!

I won't fault you for trying. I've been in all of them too and I won 200 acorns in, I think it was the June, raffle. I'm not happy that California is excluded in the "roses" prize, that would be a really nice one to win, but I understand some of the state laws make it difficult. I'd be happy to win anything, it would certainly make my day, or week, or month! What great prizes the vendors have donated for us, I know I always check out their sites to see if they have something I'd like to buy, it's the least I can do when they are being so generous.

I've never entered into any of the raffles, but I couldn't help it this time around. I really want those Drift roses

If I don't win, I'll have to buy some...but if the powers at be are listening, I'd much rather win them.

Lin, don't feel too badly about winning once and entering again. But if you win again and your conscious is really getting to you, you could always give your next prize to me, !

LOL, I've been very lucky because I've won a couple of the not-a-raffle-raffles over the years. If someone forfeits a prize, it goes to the next person in line ... I did that a couple of years ago when I had a lot going on and no time for plants. It's always fun to enter ... and just getting to be a part of this gardening family makes me feel like a winner every day!

We are not happy about this either! Darn California laws. They're tricky, the licensing is tough to get due to growing practices one must adhere to. I am so sorry we couldn't accommodate you, just wanted you to know we feel and share in your frustrations!

I, too, am in an agri business and so I know the problems shipping to California and to Florida from here for that matter. Thank goodness we both have plenty of places to buy plants in our own states, LOL.
