It reminds me of what we call the "Curry Plant" which of course smells like curry.

It could be Helichrysum, check out Helichrysum arenarium which is similar although the leaves may not be an exact match, the type of stem and habit look very much like Helichrysum. The leaves might be affected by the heat causing them to curl on the edges, but it's impossible to say for certain. Flowers would help.
