Anyone know the name of this mushroom that is now growing in TX, i assume because of all the rain.

No idea what they actually are, but they certainly are interesting! (maybe ask in the fungi forum?)

I've seen similar mushrooms here but don't know the name. If it's the same as the ones I'm thinking of, they will open up.
